A 5.4-magnitude earthquake. Well, that's one way to get this East Coast girl's heart rate up. The epicenter was about 35 miles east. But we sure did feel it out here by the beach. It's the sort of thing that brings neighbors and strangers together. The sheer wonder of how the earth can move like that without warning. It also brings out creative marketing. A local restaurant had this sign up within an hour of the quake. And they have a new drink at the bar too. Smart. We could use one.
