This is my last post before I leave for Alaska. I'm very excited. Perhaps a little too excited. The marathon in Anchorage is Sunday. I will try to post those results that evening - with the help of my college roommate, Leslie. It's a good week to race - right after seeing Jason Lezak's inspired anchor leg of the 4 x 100-meter freestyle. I'll post lots of pictures next week.
Until then, as promised, here are some gems from the Camp Pendleton Mud Run. It was the first time I made it on the podium in 30 years. But everyone finishes this race with a huge smile on their face, no matter where they place.
