I went for a nice, easy spin on the bike today. It felt good to be outside after being cooped up for weeks. How long has it been? The little sticker number was still on my bike from Ironman CA 70.3 (Oceanside). My initial workouts after the race consisted of swimming and running. No wonder it felt soooo good to be back on the bike. It was windy – and now I'm convinced that in a workout, wind is my friend. It will help me later when it really counts. Coach Beth told me to keep my workouts to half an hour for my first few workouts back. No argument here. 7.07 miles. Done.
