Last week was a good one for me. I had my last day of rehab on Thursday. I’ve been receiving physical therapy for the past eight months. Graduating to the gym and other activities is a very big deal. And it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of a long list of folks at Los Alamitos Orthopeaedic & Sports Physical Therapy, including my buddy Erroll, last week’s Comeback Kid.
On Monday, I received more good news from here. My essay “Half-Iron Minnow” was selected for publication in the Meaning of Tri: The Hearts and Minds Behind the Swim, Bike and Run anthology, a downloadable book that will be available on June 1st.
So when Saturday rolled around, 734’s Dad took me out for the best margarita I’ve ever tasted in my life. Oh yeah, it was the strongest, too. Coincidence? Maybe. Anyway, well wishes go to MtngirlinCali who just had knee surgery in Colorado last week. Not such a good week for her. But, hey girl, this is what the end of therapy looks like – remember that in the weeks to come. (It sure beats Percoset!)
